it depends on your definition of arab.
if it's based on culture, language, geography, geopolitics then yes we are arab. arabic is our official language, we are part of the arabic union, we are in the middle east and we share some traditional things with other arab countries. we share a lot with most of other arabic countries (specially jordan, syria, iraq, palestine)

And i think Lebanon is a little of everything... i believe that Lebanon shares different cultures... ofcourse i am not denying our origin but i am just saying that Lebanon is half-arabic

Ethnically, some lebanese are from arab origins yes...majority are not.

Lebanon is a arabophone country...let's keep it this way.

if u consider Lebanon as an arab country than Malta is an A3RAB country , but they built their identity based on phoenicians myths since women their used to wear the veil to the mid 50's and arabic is spoken , BUT since its a matter of DECISIONS , CHOICE and the PERCEPTION of the other so based on that nothing makes sense anymore , the argument of Malta denying its arab affiliation was that arabic is the language of Islam ,

Lebanon is arabophone just like canada who's francophone or south africa which is anglophone

and for lebanon having nothing in common with syria coz lebanese did not murder, shu khass?! shu dakhal el aghlat el siyeisiyeh bil cultural w historical profile of a country? so now germany is not europeen, coz hitler did ww2, ok, nice logic and great facts.

Yes, the arabs, ethnically are the arabian peninsula inhabitants...

there are many races and ethnicity in the ME, remember in the old days it was the middle of everything, if you wanted to go from asia to africa u had to pass there, or to europe....

so excuse me but its kinda stupid to assume that lebanese people are arab just because they speak arabic.

I speak english french and spanish does that make me any of those?

We are arabophone just like francophone, and due to our geographical existance between countries that claim to be arab, it is better to join their league rather than sit on a side and get screwed by everybody.

eno take portugal and finland, they are both europeen, but what do they have in comon? geographically they are both in europe, and politically are both europeen.
there is much more in common between arabic countries (add ma y kouno 2leil aw ktar) than between europeen countries.

It is very important to understand the historical links, and invasions and bastardization of races in the middle east, and forcing people to speak a certain language...

We are not arabs by race, arabs are tribes between yemen, KSA and that area...we are canaanites, so are the palestinians, jews and syrians.

just like the egyptians are pharoas...

ya 7abibe, there's a difference between the 30 year old baath criminal regime, and the 7000 year old syrian people. don't mix both.
